Due to the situation aggravated by the energy crisis that has also affected Kosovo, KEDS, under the instructions of KOSTT, has been obliged to compile an emergency plan of electricity restriction for approximately two hours, for all consumers.

While KEDS is doing its best to keep you informed about the schedule of these restrictions, the cooperation of each of us is very necessary to overcome this situation as easily as possible.

The schedule of electricity restrictions can be found on the KEDS website (click here) as well as by registering on the eKesco application (download here), if you do not already have an account on this application.

After you receive the information about the electricity restriction in your location, we appeal that during the time you do not have electricity, if possible, unplug the electrical appliances, especially the heating system.

This is because at the moment when the electricity supply is restored, due to the overload in the network, it can lead to a delay in connecting the feeder from which you are supplied.

Also, this could affect the damage to the energy assets, which would create even more delays due to repairs and other processes that take time until the assets are energized.

What should be done during the time when you do not have electricity?

Restoring the power supply is easier when there is no heavy load on the power system.

To prevent damage from overloads, we appeal to you to disconnect electrical appliances, especially the heating system, during power restrictions.

After the electricity supply is restored

In order to prevent overloading after the power is restored, the electrical system needs some time to fully stabilize, so we recommend that after 10 to 15 minutes you start to gradually turn on your electrical appliances.

Your cooperation is being requested for the general good, so that the electricity missing during the two hours returns to the planned schedule.
