In the wake of many investment projects of KEDS in all localities of Kosovo, in the village of Rakinicë in the municipality of Skenderaj, the project of the new electrical network was completed a little while ago.

The request of the residents of this village for a new and stable network was implemented thanks to the dedication of KEDS to the improvement of the general infrastructure of the electrical network.

The Supervising Engineer at KEDS, Mrs. Artiola Buja, says that the new network project in this village also means security in the network, mentioning the change of the route of the line.

"With this project, in addition to improving the supply of electricity to our customers there, the safety of the network has also been increased and the risks that came from the old network have been eliminated and the route of the line has been changed," she says.

According to her, the old electrical network was located in an unsuitable area, which made it difficult for KEDS Maintenance teams to intervene in case of need.

Even the residents of these neighborhoods are satisfied with the investment made in the electricity network. Kadri Hajra says that this project is very welcome since they already have a new network and stable supply.

"We are very satisfied with the new investment in our village by KEDS. We didn't have the new network in front of us, it was already located in the fields. Now it has been placed by the side of the road, which offers us great security", he says.

In the new line, about three kilometers long, about 60 Medium and Low Voltage concrete poles have been installed, along with about 60 cabinets and other supporting facilities.

This project has cost close to 60,000 euros and close to 250 residents of this village are already benefiting from it.

KEDS is continuing to implement investment projects throughout Kosovo in order to provide our customers with a qualitative and stable supply of electricity.
