KEDS is continuing with the implementation of projects throughout Kosovo. Finally, the project of eliminating the old electrical network and installing the new one in the village of Gurbardh in Malisheva has been completed.

Korab Zymeri-engineer at KEDS and supervisor of this project talks about the difficulties that the residents of this village have had with electricity supply and the stability in supply and security offered by the new energy network.

"The network was old! It has passed along the mountains and meadows of the residents, which has often created maintenance difficulties for the KEDS teams due to the difficult access with machinery", he says.

He emphasizes that the new network has already been installed along the main road of Gurbardh village, adding that "with the installation of this network, our customers have security and a stable supply of electricity".

Qazim Berisha, a resident of this village, thanks KEDS for the installation of the new electrical network, remembering a few decades ago when he self-funded a part of the electrical network to the house where he lives.

"We are very satisfied with the new electrical network. This is a wonderful job and, above all, one of the high standards. I have worked for a long time in the West, and I know exactly how a job is done according to standards. This network is one of those jobs", he said.

The Gurbardhi project coincides with the installation of more than three hundred medium and low voltage poles, close to 240 cabinets, four transformers, and two transformer poles. The project has a value of nearly 350,000 euros and more than 1,000 residents are already benefiting from it.

Within this Lot, works are continuing on the 10(20) kV Mirusha line, from which project a certain number of consumers will benefit.
