Today Girls TECH is officially opening its doors to 15 girls who want to receive professional training in the field of ICT.

This program was established and supported by KEDS, within the KEDS Academy program, the last one marking its ninth year.

KEDS is committed to pushing and supporting girls to pursue careers in Information Technology and Programming.

Each of the students of Vocational High School, Informatics profile, and Gymnasiums, 12th grade, which have basic skills in the use of Information Technology, as well as good success in the previous year, can become part of this program.

Starting in May this year, Girls TECH will be an open door for all those girls who want to increase their knowledge in the above-mentioned fields.

The number of selected girls will be 15, while the application is opening from today for all the interested.

Professionals of KEDS who specialize in the relevant fields have taken care of the design and compilation of the program modules and now everything is ready to start implementation.

The creator of the project, Valbona Kadrijaj, confirms that everything is ready for the beginning of the Girls TECH program. The implementation of the program will be done from the internal resources of the company.

"We at KEDS have made everything ready to start with the implementation of the program. We have identified the necessary human resources, as well as creating the physical infrastructure in order to carry out the project. The support and training staff is also ready, where in addition to the commitments of the Department for Quality, Safety, and Training, we also have support in implementation from the IT Department. In addition to professional training, after the end of the program, the doors will be open for employment for those girls who show great commitment during the program.

At the end of the program, the best ones will have the opportunity to be employed in the company", said Kadrijaj.

KEDS remains a company dedicated to the professional advancement of Kosovar youth, through numerous development projects in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) sector. Also, this program is being implemented as a company committed to empowering the role of women in companies and the community, with the signing of seven (7) UN Women principles.

The program will start with the District of Prishtina, which includes the following municipalities: Prishtina, Podujeva, Obiliqi, Fushë-Kosova, and Drenas, while the application will be open until April 22, 2022.
