There are many ways we can start saving energy in our homes, from small daily habits to larger home investments that not only help the environment but also reduce your energy bills.

To start saving energy as easily and successfully as possible, this article is based on the simple practices that the Director of Control, Accounting and Reporting Teuta Ukshini Aliu has applied in her home, saving over 200 kWh for a month.

Teuta, in a video produced by KEDS as part of the energy-saving campaign, says that she has mainly focused on keeping the electric heating at home at 19 degrees Celsius. Also, she has used the washing machine to its full capacity, and cooking food is mainly made on electric stove hobs.

A bonus tip to save on your bills is to use your electricity during the off-peak hours since electricity prices are way cheaper during this period. The off-peak hours from October 1 to March 31 are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

You can best measure and monitor energy savings through the eKesco app. We recommend you download this app if you already don’t have it!
