This year, KEDS is marking Safety at Work Week with various activities. As part of these initiatives, today, a fire simulation successfully conducted at the KEDS premises in the Peja District involved the necessary steps for evacuation, search, and rescue.

In Peja, district workers played a central role in the simulation. The impromptu fire on the top floor of the building prompted the workers to evacuate, and within minutes, the Kosovo Police, the Peja Emergency team, local firefighters, members of KFOR, representatives of municipal institutions, and dozens of students from the city arrived on the scene.

The workers gained practical experience in reacting in case of a fire and what to do if someone is injured or trapped inside.

The municipality’s emergency teams significantly contributed to ensuring the company’s workers are better prepared and know how to act in emergency situations.

KEDS expressed its gratitude to all the institutions present and thanked them for their contribution to ensuring the highest possible level of safety for its workers.

The simulation in Peja is the third of its kind, following previous exercises in Ferizaj and Prizren.

Safety at Work Week will continue with other activities.
