KEDS is marking the International Day for Safety and Health at Work, with great projects and achievements which aim to increase care for the health and safety of workers.

KEDS was licensed for occupational safety and health services in 2019. But with the change of regulations, KEDS met all the criteria and was re-licensed by the Ministry of Finance, Labor, and Transfers for the same services.

Also, the Licensing of the Training Center for providing professional qualifications from Occupational Safety and Health has been given in accordance with Law no. 04 / L-161 on Occupational Safety and Health and Regulation no. 01/2021.

The Director for Quality, Safety, and Training at KEDS, Valbona Kadrijaj, said that there is an enormous commitment when it comes to advancing conditions in terms of safety and health at work.

"From the beginning, KEDS has been committed to continuously advancing in creating the best possible conditions for safety and health at work for all employees in the company. Safety is a priority of the company and also in accordance with the legal requirements since 2019 KEDS is licensed to provide services from safety and health at work, to be re-licensed in February 2022. If we look back today, on the World Day of Occupational Safety and Health, I can say that this day finds KEDS with many achievements in this field. All this is thanks to the commitment and dedication of the company's employees, respecting international norms and standards for safety and health at work. The achievements are as a result of the continuous promotion of values from safety and health at work, with the motto of zero accidents in the workplace ", said Kadrijaj.

The provision of professional qualifications for occupational safety and health will be organized by KEDS at three levels: The first level is the basic one of occupational safety and health specialist, the advanced level that is profiled in the energy, construction, and logistics sector, and the third level is of occupational safety and health expert.

Whereas Izja Mjeku, trainer of KEDS, said that the importance given to the health and safety of workers is enormous, therefore has established the Training Center, as a special part of KEDS.

All KEDS employees are trained in this aspect and everyone is informed about personal protective equipment, team equipment, but also ongoing field inspections.

“We continuously train workers, with special emphasis on safety, health at work, as well as professional training. During the training, we inform them about personal protective equipment, and team equipment, which employees use during their daily work. The Training Center has all the equipment that our employees use in the field. During these training, our employees demonstrate and practice with that equipment ", said the trainer Mjeku.

KEDS continuously promotes the prevention of accidents and incidents at work. The Coordinator for Quality Assurance in the training unit at KEDS, Shemsije Lahu, said that the motto of the training is: "First safety and zero accidents".

"The way we promote the prevention of accidents and incidents at work, is through training, through inspections and monitoring, where we disseminate all information on safety and health at work through various awareness campaigns, through the placement of information signs and many ways. others. Our motto is: 'Safety first and zeroes accidents', but to have zero accidents at work requires constant motivation and commitment", she said.
