About 2,000 KEDS employees almost occupied the entire hall in the north of Pristina, as they were celebrating the company's 10th anniversary. Together with them were celebrating, the entire management, the owners of the company, Mr. Ahmet Çalik, and that of Limak Holding, Mr. Nihat Ozdemir, as well as honorable representatives from local and international institutions.

Everything was electrified when the ballet troupe started performing with Kosovar motifs, as were these 10 years of operation of the company. Meanwhile, in the background, a giant screen was showing the full commitment of all the workers, who for a decade left nothing to chance for the citizens of Kosovo to receive the highest quality services, for the company to advance as much as possible, and for the Kosovar energy industry to develop in a new dimension. A decade for which no investment was spared.

Chief Executive Officer of KEDS, Mr. Alpin Dogan, in his welcoming speech, showed the reasons why we should be proud.

"As we gather here to celebrate, we must mention an unstable energy situation, ten years ago, and our willingness to transform that electricity grid in line with the best and most advanced technological models," he said.

Mr. Dogan thanked all the company's employees for their continued commitment to improving customer service, motivating them for the start of a new decade.

"We are excited about the changes that will happen for the better in the next decade, such as digitization infrastructure, service quality, and efficiency. We will continue to guarantee a universal, reliable, and quality service", he added.

Next, describing KEDS as a main actor in the energy sector of Kosovo in the last ten years, Mr. Ahmet Çalik expressed his happiness for the successes achieved through investments, as he said, in a beautiful country like Kosovo.

"For these ten years, we have invested over 216 million euros to meet the needs of consumers, who were about 470,000 in 2013, and today there are about 700,000. We are proud that through the digital platform, eKesco, we offer online services to about 206,000 users," he said.

Mr. Çalik also spoke about the implementation of successful projects aimed at improving customer services, for which he thanked the KEDS workers.

On the other hand, the head of the Limak Holding Company, Mr. Nihat Ozdemir, said that he sees Kosovo as their home, and is proud of the impact of investments in Kosovar society.

"The rapid development and changes we see here, together with the young population and dynamism in Kosovo, give us great strength and inspiration," he said.

He further spoke about the great contribution to investing in Kosovar youth through educational programs.

"Through the KEDS Academy program, which we started immediately after the establishment of the company, we trained and certified about 600 young people in the field of energy, most of whom are already part of the company," he added.

KEDS is owned by the prestigious Turkish companies, Çalik Holding, and Limak Holding, and started operating in Kosovo in May 2013. Through the realization of more than 2300 capital projects, and applying the most advanced technology and infrastructure, KEDS has transformed the energy landscape of Kosovo, empowering its development for a sustainable future of electricity supply.
