KEDS experts have so far made a series of calculations for the most rational expenditure of electricity, mainly in heating, as the biggest consumer of electricity.

After heating, the boiler is considered to be the biggest consumer of electricity. According to experts at KEDS, the boiler, in our homes, depending on its size, type, number of family members, and the time it stays on, spends 40-60% of the total monthly bill during the winter season, if we do not include here the consumption of electricity for heating.

This time, they suggest how it is possible to save up to 15% of the total bill just through boiler management. Based on their calculations, we can save 80-100 kWh per month or on average 13%-15% of the total bill if we turn on the boiler during the cheap tariff time, which in winter is from 22:00-07:00, while during the summer from 23:00-08:00, if we lower the temperature of the thermostat to 55℃-60℃, and if we reduce the use of hot water.

Above all, the experts at KEDS suggest that the boiler consumes less electricity when it is switched on as needed, than when it is constantly switched on. Let's stick to these suggestions in practice to save on our bills, and not burden the electricity network of Kosovo.
