KEDS continues its investment projects throughout the entire territory of Kosovo, without leaving out North Mitrovica. This commitment demonstrates the company’s dedication to ensuring that all citizens benefit from modern energy infrastructure and a stable electricity supply, regardless of region or municipality.

In parallel with the flow of the Ibër River, starting from the main bridge and stretching past three residential towers toward Suhodoll, KEDS is carrying out an important project on the 10 kV Medium Voltage network, in the Bergjan feeder, which will significantly improve the quality and safety of electricity supply for consumers in that area.

This project is of particular importance because it directly impacts residents’ daily lives by providing a more stable service with fewer interruptions.

The new line is about 5.5 kilometers long, of which 3.1 kilometers are underground cable network and 2.38 kilometers are overhead lines. In addition, four new substations are being built to increase the network’s safety and efficiency. The project also includes hundreds of meters of Low Voltage overhead and underground network. These elements are essential for ensuring a higher-quality and more reliable power distribution.

Thanks to this investment, hundreds of consumers in North Mitrovica will benefit from a more stable electricity supply. Beyond improving service quality, such investments also enhance the safety of the electrical grid. This means the benefits are multiple: consumers receive better service, while the network becomes more efficient and more reliable.

KEDS remains committed to giving equal priority to all municipalities and areas of Kosovo, without distinction. This is not the only project the company is undertaking in the northern part of the country. Several other projects have been implemented or are in the process of implementation there, all aimed at improving citizens’ lives by increasing the stability and safety of the electricity supply.

This is just one of many projects KEDS is implementing across Kosovo as part of its strategy to modernize and expand the electrical network. The strategy aims to provide modern infrastructure in every city and village, serving economic development and the well-being of citizens.
