KEDS has built the ISO 14001 environmental management system through which the main objective is to protect the environment. An important part of the system is water management.

World Water Day, March 22, is a day marked to highlight the importance of water around the world.

The global theme of this year's World Water Day is "Accelerating Change".

This topic shows that a tremendous amount of work still needs to be done to meet the objectives of the United Nations' agenda for sustainable development, of which our country is also a part.

Among these objectives is the 6th Goal (SDG 6) which represents a commitment at the global level to ensure access to water supply and sanitation for all by 2030.

Water is at the heart of sustainable development and key to socio-economic development, healthy ecosystems, and human survival itself, so there is much that can be done to conserve it:

Save water during personal use: Do not leave faucets open while cleaning your hands, teeth, or body.

For a safe flow: Fix water and sewer pipes, and report possible leaks to the town/village network.

Promote the rational use of water: Fill the washing machine well before use, by installing sensor batteries in taps.

Do not pollute the water: Do not throw garbage, oils, or chemicals into the water, and others.

Eat local food: Buy local food and products that are produced with less water.

Be curious: Find out where your water comes from, and how it is distributed, and visit a drinking water treatment plant or a wastewater treatment plant.

Protect nature: Plant trees and participate in cleaning rivers and lakes near your place of residence. Be the change you wish to see in the world!
