Investments that were not realized for decades in the electricity network of Skenderaj, are being realized by KEDS this year through 67 projects. Through them, the complete reconstruction of the low and medium voltage network is being done.

From these investments, which reach the amount of about 6 million euros, will benefit around  10 thousand consumers, or over 30 thousand citizens. A total of 14 villages will be direct beneficiaries of these projects that will be implemented during this year. It includes the villages: Llaushë, Rrezallë, Turiqevc, Tushillë, Plluzhinë, Abri e Poshtme, Burojë, Rakinicë, Polac, Dashec, Baks, Cirez, Izbicë and Kladernicë.

At the same time, KEDS is investing in Medium Voltage lines in this municipality, which includes a large number of customers.

During this year, KEDS has held numerous institutional meetings with the Municipality of Skenderaj, including the meeting with the Mayor, Bekim Jashari, with whom they have coordinated investment projects. They will be developed according to the dynamic plan and with intensive works, which will change for the better the energy infrastructure of this municipality.

The investments of KEDS were welcomed by the Mayor Jashari himself, who emphasized the need for intervention in the network. "Through these investments we will have a better infrastructure and better services from KEDS. KEDS investments in accordance with our requirements will continue next year ", Jashari had emphasized in the meeting held with the management of KEDS.

KEDS in the past has invested heavily in the electricity network of Skenderaj, extending the new network and installing dozens of new substations, which have directly affected the quality of electricity supply for residents there.

One of the first 20 kV lines was built exactly in this municipality, the one Skënderaj-Runik. KEDS remains committed to continue the cooperation with the Municipalities by enabling the old electricity network to be replaced with a completely new network. Thus, KEDS is meeting the objectives for the realization of 300 million euros within 15 years.
