KEDS donated 50 computers to children of SOS Village families on Thursday. The purpose of distributing these computers was to give children easier access to the world, especially in this time of pandemic.

Information technology nowadays is vital for educating and advancing knowledge for everyone. Therefore, this donation is calculated to achieve this mission, so to facilitate the children of SOS villages to be up to date (modern flows).

Albana Zogu -Morina from SOS Children's Villages, said that these computers will help children to have access to online learning.

Having in consideration both the need for online learning and access to information technology and the Internet, of course the donation of 50 computers is extraordinary welcomed.

With this donation will be supported children who are part of the family empowerment program who do not have access to technological equipment during this time of pandemic, where they often have to attend classes / learning through online forms. Of course, the needs of the children we take care of every day will be met, she said.

According to KEDS, this is not the first time they have donated equipment to this institution, since in December last year the company had provided the children of SOS villages with dozens of tablets.

KEDS inform in advance that it will take such initiatives also in the future in order to create opportunities for children to combine theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge through information technology cabinets that will be created where needed.

Today's donation is not the only one the company has made in terms of information technology equipment. To date, KEDS has donated over 150 computers to various schools across the country, with the aim of keeping Kosovar pupils up to date with information technology.

In addition to these equipment’s, KEDS has continuously carried out various activities in the field of children's education, such as various donations, such as the establishment of libraries, lectures on electricity efficiency, numerous gifts for the end-of-year holidays and many, many other activities.
