Near the Bus Station in Drenas, the electricity transformer has taken a completely different look. Before, this transformer was full of scribbles, but from now on it will be a reference point. This is because this trafostation has already been transformed into a modern artistic object by the graphic art of local artists. Just like this transformer, many more are being turned into artistic objects in different neighborhoods of Drenas.

All this is made possible thanks to the cooperation of KEDS with the Municipality of Drenas, within the Art n’Trafo project. The purpose of this cooperation is to transform KEDS trafostations into urban objects, giving life to the neighborhoods where they are allocated and at the same time to enable the promotion of art and young artists.

The Director of the Directorate for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection in the Municipality of Drenas, Flutura Avdiu, says that these projects are having a positive impact on the community.

"Through this cooperation with KEDS, we are transforming transformers into urban artistic works. Thus, we are giving color to the city of Drenas. Undoubtedly all this reflects in positivity for everyone who passes by. We intend to continue this cooperation even further, in order to give our artists the necessary space to display their artistic works in the community ", said Avdiu.

Meanwhile, the Director of Communications at KEDS, Naxhije Pajaziti-Arifaj says that in addition to providing electricity services, KEDS is committed to also support the community through activities within the Corporate Social Responsibility.

“Since the beginning of its operation, KEDS has been committed to supporting the community through various activities within the Corporate Social Responsibility, in addition to providing electricity services. Among them is the Art n’Trafo project, which we started in Prishtina, we are continuing in Drenas and we aim to realize it throughout Kosovo. We are turning trafostations into modern, urban and artistic objects. Our artists are being promoted while the neighborhoods are being revived," said Pajaziti-Arifaj.

This is not the first initiative for painting trafostations by KEDS. Such projects were implemented a few months ago in Pristina, where dozens of transformers have received artistic views.

The Art n’Trafo project is an initiative of KEDS, where through cooperation with the Municipalities, the aim is to transform trafostations into urban facilities.

KEDS, being part of these projects, expresses its determination and readiness to play a major role in the activities of Corporate Social Responsibility, which directly affect the quality of life of the community.
