KEDS constructs two new lines for supply of Mitrovica
KEDS has prepared two new lines to be put into operation by the end of the week for electricity supply in Mitrovica. These lines will be connected to the new KOSTT Ilirida substation and will distribute electricity to Mitrovica and the villages. This includes the city center with villages and many other localities.
With putting in work of these lines it is foreseen that the electricity supply of this city will be much more stable. This part of Mitrovica has so far been supplied by 35 kV lines coming from Vushtrri through Skenderaj up to Mitrovica, while the second line is for the substation Shupkovci, which is now being supplied from the Trepca substation via 35 kV lines. But now the 35 kV lines will be completely eliminated, making the supply more efficient and more expeditious.
These two lines will connect from the Ilirida substation to those of KEDS - Mitrovica and Shupkovci
This step will finally solve the electricity supply of a substantial part of the city. This is because the center, close neighborhoods and several villages decades in row were supplied by Trepca assets, which are very old. Now, KOSTT has built its own assets, KEDS has immediately built new lines to make their connection to the distribution network and direct beneficiaries are thousands of customers.
