General electricity safety tips

  • Inspect equipment connected to cables and sockets;
  • Repair or replace damaged equipment immediately;
  • Never touch the plug, switch or any other electrical appliance with wet hands;
  • Be aware that hot plugs can be a sign that the electrical installation has not been done properly, do not use them until a qualified electrician has checked the connections;
  • Do not load the plugs with too many devices. Disconnecting equipment that you do not use removes the risk of electric shock and fire that could be caused by this phenomenon;
  • The risk of electric shock is greater in humid areas;
  • During large storms (lightning, thunder) do not use electrical appliances;
  •  Find out where the emergency circuit breakers are located;
  • Clearly label all circuit breakers and fuse boxes;
  • Do not use plugs that have their internal electrical installation exposed (with damaged insulation);
