KEDS is implementing a megaproject in Lipjan, which extends to ten villages of this municipality. The investments are already in full swing and are expected to reach a total of 2.6 million euros by completion.

More than 8,000 residents will benefit from this significant investment, which covers areas within the triangle formed by Pristina Airport, Kodra e Goleshi, and the city of Lipjan. This includes Ribari i Madh, Topliqani, Gllogovci, Magurja, Dobraja e Vogël, Dobraja e Madhe, Puturovci, Torina, Shala, Petrova, and Lipjan itself.

KEDS is installing 16 new transformers, approximately 110,000 meters of low voltage cables, 20,000 meters of medium voltage cables, and about 1,000 new poles, making it one of the largest projects the company has undertaken. The cables, a mix of aerial and underground, stretch along the main roads of these villages. All this electrical infrastructure is being completely renewed, with some work already completed.

Residents benefiting from this megaproject will experience significantly improved and more secure services. This investment will enhance the quality of life for over 15 percent of Lipjan's population.

This project is one of many that KEDS has implemented during its 11 years of operations in this municipality. Lipjan is experiencing a major construction boom, and KEDS is keeping pace by expanding and modernizing the electrical infrastructure to replace the outdated systems.

Currently, KEDS is implementing 250 projects across Kosovo, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining a high-level electricity distribution network and providing top-quality services.
